There are three types of account access for these services, Individual, OAuth, and Single. All Individual and OAuth account services have a secure note in the Team vault. This note lists the administrators you can contact to gain access to the service for Individual services or lists the account you can use to get access for OAuth services. If you need to give more people access to credentials move them to a vault that they can access. If 2FA should be on for the new user account, make sure to store recovery codes in the login, and use 1Password TOTP.Single services (services that don't allow individual accounts or where it is too expensive): store the credentials in an appropriate company 1Password vault ('Team' or otherwise) so that your colleagues can sign in using the same credentials.OAuth services (authentication through GitLab or Google accounts, such as for grafana).Individual services (created manually per person, such as our Google accounts): keep your credentials to yourself by storing them in your 'Personal' vault in the GitLab 1Password team account.During onboarding you should be added to all relevant Individual services by default. Never duplicate or export credentials! If needed put them in the Team vault that the whole company can access or make a suggestion to create a new vault in the "1Password Shared Folders" Google Sheet. 1Password should be the only password vault used for teams.ĭo not copy passwords from inside a 1Password vault to a personal password vault or other password store.Do not share passwords on a per person basis by sharing them via 1Password, this makes it hard to reason about the sharing and doesn't change when the responsibilities change. When asked security questions (what is your favorite pet, etc.) do not answer truthfully since that is easy to research.Team passwords should not be duplicated or placed in personal password vaults where they can potentially be exposed to compromise. Make up an answer and write both the question and answer in 1Password. Do not share credentials via email, issue comments, chat etc.Consider using the Password Generator function in 1Password for this. This includes email addresses to login and API keys. If you want to see your vaults or ask to be added to a new one please leave a comment in the "1Password Shared Folders" Google Doc.You will be invited to applicable vaults after joining the company. You can be added to a group which has access to a vault, or you can be added directly to a vault as an individual. If there is a group that looks appropriate for you, prefer to join that. Note for the 1Password admins that handle requests: when adding an individual to a vault (instead of to a group that has access to that vault), make sure that the permissions are restricted to not allow "Export Item".Managing a dozen groups is simpler than managing hundreds of individual access settings. There is not a way of setting that as the default. If you're missing an appropriate vault make a comment in the relevant cell in the "1Password Shared Folders" Google Sheet. It is also better to add people to a group that has the access they need, instead of individual vaults.

The whole “floating dungeon” gimmick leads to frustration as well, despite looking incredibly cool. Ranged attacks are just as likely to miss as to hit, while melee is often a total crapshoot. Close-quarter combat consists of bare-bones button mashing, and the auto-targeting system barely works. Even the art style, as pretty as it is, makes one think of the types of casual RPGs you see advertised on Web site banner ads, a feeling enhanced by the rudimentary animation. For all its style and attempts at depth, Bastion plays no better than an average browser-based free-to-play MMORPG. Sadly, it also has some glaring problems and often fails to live up to the lofty goals it has set itself. Countering becomes a crucial way of dealing with projectiles later in the game, as sending a missile back to its owner is a quick way of dealing with annoying foes.Īt its heart, Bastion is a collection of wonderful ideas with heaps of promise. Players get to choose two weapons (though if he discovers a new weapon in the field, one of his choices will automatically - annoyingly - get replaced), one secret technique, and his trusty shield, which can counter attacks when used to block at the right moment. Any number of Gods can be activated once discovered, meaning players can fine-tune the level of challenge with an eye to gaining more loot. Activating a God at the shrine creates effects in dungeons, such as making enemies tougher or quicker, but the reward is greater XP and cash. There is also a cool risk/reward system in place with Gods. Passive abilities are equipped as various tonics, and allow The Kid to carry more health potions or withstand greater attacks. These are often tied to specific weapons, although there are standalone skills, such as the power to summon a “Squirt” monster as a friendly accomplice. The soundtrack is great as well. The Kid has access to Secret Techniques, which are found in the dungeons or bought in shops. The skills were fun to experiment with with the ability to tweak the difficulty by activating idols ensured that there was a good risk-reward system at play. Each weapon has character and can be customized to a decent extent. To talk about Bastion, it still holds up as a great action RPG. But honestly, Bastion is one of the best titles that can be played on the console. It's kind of a known thing that Switch gives a breath of fresh air to numerous titles from yesteryears. In fact, I think I played the entire game on handheld mode and never once faced any slow-down or felt that the game was unresponsive. The art style and colors were super vibrant on the handheld screen and the controls weren't too shabby either. While the story is average at best, the fact that I could steal a few hours before bed-time and complete trials and levels made it all the more enjoyable. But once I started playing it on the Switch, I felt like it was made for it. While I enjoyed the combat, there was nothing that made me come back to playing it on a living room setup. I've tried playing it on PC and on the PS4 numerous times only to give up after a few levels. The old /r/patientgamers Essential Games Listįinished Bastion last week on the Switch. Log.Printf("isTCP: %v, header: %s", header.Protocol = 6, header)įunc runBin(bin string, args. Log.Printf("tun interface: %s", iface.Name()) I use TUN interface, so only plain IP packet, no ethernet header + mtu is set to 1300 I feel like i'm missing something extremely obvious but I can't figure it for the life of me. I have tried songgao/water, pkg/tuntap and even writing my own based on some C code floating around but no matter what I tried, I can't receive TCP packets (ICMP/UDP works fine). I'm working on a simple project that listens on a tun interface and modified the packets then re-sends them to the real interface. I am using the OSPF routing protocol in R1 and R2. The cloud in the topology represents the connection with the Ubuntu VM host. The transmit window (proportional to throughput) again gently ramps up around 810 KB until there's another packet loss. The network in GNS3 has two routers with this topology: I am using the virtual bridge interface, virbr0:192.168.122.1, to connect the two routers R1 and R2 with the VM Ubuntu. Instead, the sender reduces the transmit window to about 780 KB. Interestingly, this packet loss event does not cause a "halving" of the transmit window. The sender immediately retransmits that data in #5083. One RTT after that, SACK #5082 reports that #5042 was received and now only 1388 bytes are missing. We see SACK #5040 report that 2776 bytes are missing, #5042 is a retransmission of 1388 bytes. The result is that your throughput more than halves at that point.Ī short time later, there is another loss event. However, the loss of those 4 small packets causes the sender to reduce the transmit window to just 850 KB (620 packets x 1400 bytes) per round trip. In your case, the sender's transmit window initially ramps up to 2MB (1482 packets x 1400 MSS) per RT. The first set of SACKs start at #3458 and the first set of retransmitted packets are #3569, #3570, #3571 & #3572. The retransmitted packets are the correct size in this capture (ie, not the very large ones due to being captured before the IP layer "packetised" them). You will then see the retransmissions of the data that the SACKs reported as being lost. There can be multiple left and right edges, indicating multiple "gaps" in the flow. If you delve into the packet detail of the Dup-ACKs, you'll see the "left edge" and "right edge" values that identify them as SACKs. In this case you have to find the Selective ACKs - which are shown as "Dup-Acks" in Wireshark. This is clearly visible, several times, in blue on the Wireshark chart (Statistics - TCP Stream Graphs - Window Scaling).Īn excellent presentation about Congestion Avoidance algorithms was made by Vladimir Gerasimov at SharkFest 2019 did a lot of valuable research and preparation. When there are multiple packet loss events, a chart of the "Bytes-in-Flight" value forms a sawtooth pattern with fast decreases and slow increases. The subsequent "gentle" ramp up (usually by one packet per RT) means that overall throughput suffers severely. When a sender detects packet loss it is supposed to "halve" its transmit window and then ramp up very slowly.Ī halving of bytes-per-round-trip or packets-per-RT results in a halving of throughput. It is some relatively small packet losses at various times which trigger the TCP "Congestion Avoidance" mechanism/algorithm. However, the reason for the slow transfer is actually quite basic and common. That is, missing from the trace file but were there in real life. Your original "AIX-to-Cloud" capture file is made more difficult to analyse due to the fact that there are a lot of packets that weren't captured. |
